PARA MUITOS, o melhor trabalho da banda. Menos pesado que o seu antecessor, com o virtuosismo de Adrian Vandenberg transbordando pelas nove músicas deste album. Há muito de A.O.R. nesse disco, com todos os elementos que fazem a cabeça da galera: teclados, refrões poderosos, baladas, etc. Tem também aquela influência indispensável da NWOBHM, mas o ponto interessante é o esforço da banda em se mostrar original, e como sempre, a guitarra poderosa de Adrian rouba a cena.(EA)
Vandenberg’s second release Heading For a Storm is another great lost hard rock classic of the 1980s. The album is a bit more polished compared to their debut album experimenting with different sounds and production. The songs are great but I do wish they had the raw bite production that is all over the band's debut album. Nonetheless "Heading For A Storm" is essential listening and features many great songs like the minor FM radio hit, “Friday Night.” There is also a great “Thank you”-esque ballad called “Different Worlds” which has some of the coolest classical guitar flourishes ever heard on a power ballad! The rockers blaze like on the AC/DC-ish “Rock On” and the title track. It is too bad that Vandenberg never really caught on because the band had the potential to put Holland on the rock and roll map over close but no cigar acts like Focus and Golden Earring.
